Intro to Pottery Wheel (August)

Service Description

Perfect for beginners or those looking for a refresher, this 4-part course includes all the basics of throwing pottery on a wheel. During a total of 8 hours of instruction, participants will learn techniques for centering, shaping, trimming, and glazing. Students will come away from the course with 1-5 finished pieces. Each class period is designed to teach you the steps to creating ceramic art from start to finish, so it's best if students can attend all four sessions. A free pass for open studio hours is included with this course for extra self-directed time if desired. All materials, kiln time, & aprons will be provided. All you need to bring is an open mind and some clothes you don't mind getting a little messy! Ethan will be instructing this course. *Please Note: Kids 13 and under are only allowed to use pottery wheels after taking private lessons and may need adult supervision*
