Hanging Planters (Intermediate)

Service Description

Bored of making the same old thing? Expand your skill set with this 3-part hanging planter class. Participants will learn techniques to throw larger pieces on the wheel, create closed forms, and alter wheel thrown-pieces with sculptural elements. Class period #1 will be throwing, the second will be sculpting and shaping, and the third will be glazing and decorating. Taught by Ethan Edwards at Spearfish Clayworks. Ages 14+ are welcome to enroll. *This is an intermediate course recommended for those who have prior throwing experience and can comfortably center clay. *
